I heart Eman

Image
There are good teachers, there are great teachers, and then there are teachers who are so effective they can change a child, a family, and the outcome of a student.  Eman has brought us in contact with some of the most gifted teachers on the planet. Last year, we were so impressed with Mrs. Gross, we changed our opinion on cloning and asked the principal if she could please put a copy of Mrs. Gross in the 2nd grade.  They did something better.  They gave Eman something rare in Elementary School, the coveted male teacher.  Don't we all remember Mr. Suzuki (sigh, Hi Tori's Mom, I miss you). When I first met Mr. McGuire I was convinced Eman could take him out with a kick of the soccer ball. Some of you may remember me going to open house when he matter of factly told the parents, this was a great class, they were going to have a great year, and we all had great kids. That's when I politely raised my hand and asked if Eman had actually been attending? Mr. McGuire is the ...

Abegail's Soccer Team

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9J2LmwhshPw The Dad of a teammate on Abegail's soccer team has mastered taking soccer pictures and he has put them all together in a video.  This is one of the three tournaments the girls won this year.  Next week are tryouts for next year so the girls will be all jumbled up, but this was a very special group of girls.

No More Pinkalicious

School picture taken last week Annie came home from her 2nd All Star soccer practice yesterday and I was in her pink room, looking at her pink bedspread, under her pink pillows, and pink curtains helping her get clean clothes on for Church School. I picked out a pink shirt to wear with some lovely plaid shorts when she informed me of the following: A: Mommy, I'm too athletic to wear pink anymore. M: Really?  What about purple?  Are you too athletic for purple too? A: Kind of.  It can just have a little purple in it. We have been living on the soccer fields lately.  Abegail's team had three games alone this weekend.  They are doing great.  We are off to a tournament this weekend in Pennsylvania for her team.

Two For One First Communion

Annie and Eman made their First Communion today.  They both did great.  Eman has bitten off all of his nails, but he made it through the service like a pro.  Guess what Eman? Now we get to do this every weekend!  68 kids made their First Communion today.  Our neighbor Geneive two doors away was one of them. Look who we found, the coaches daughter from our soccer team.  They call themselves the Funny Runners  Cake Time Mommy, I can not take one more picture!
