2nd Day and Ballet


Abegail helps Annie change to tap shoes

By all accounts the second day of school went well. Both Annie and Abegail are making new friends, although Annie is having trouble remembering the name of her new friend and is right now just known as "my new friend." Everybody seems to like their teachers so far.
Annie had her first ballet and tap class last night and loved it.

Things I never thought I'd hear myself say:
E-man, please stop playing with the holy water.
Get down from the Holy Mary statue!
E-man, why are you trying to put a tree branch into the car??
E-man, please stop doing flips on the couch.
E-man please stop climbing up the wall.
E-man please don't water the plants with dish soap...oh OK...please don't clean the cement slab with dish soap..oh never mind, go ahead...I grade on a curve, OK now you are using the dish soap to wash my car...uh ..ok, thanks for your help?
E-man please don't use the picture frame as a step ladder.
E-man for the last time you can not see your stomach through your belly button.

I've heard kids' behavior gets worse at home when they start school because they are on their best behavior at school. I can only hope that is somewhat true for E-man right now, so far I have not heard of any teacher injuries.

Bedtime

Abegail had a tooth pulled yesterday...so we told her to put her tooth under her pillow and the tooth fairy might come to take it and leave her some money. She was SUPER curious about the tooth fairy all day. Question after question..."Daddy, what does the tooth fairy look like? What will happen if I wake up while she's there?" Then after about the 15th question, I realized it was probably a bad idea to even mention the tooth fairy. By 8:30 last night, EVERY child was scared to go to bed because they were terrified of the tooth fairy creeping into their room while they were sleeping!! Abegail put the tooth under her pillow and then refused to sleep in her bed. She wanted to sleep on the floor...and then so did the other two. An hour and a half later, I walked into their room and A & E were asleep in E-Man's bed with the blanket pulled up over their heads. And Annie had sneaked away to HER bed. First Day of School

Today is Abegail's first day of school !!! And like our parents did for us...we made the kids pose for pictures! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a picture in focus until the bus arrived. Oh well, Annie was picking her nose anyway. Abegail got onto the bus like a real pro!! She was soooo excited! As you can see...Annie and E-Man were skeptical. Frankly, E-Man was quite concerned.

Annie makes Travel Soccer

Annie made the FPYC travel Soccer Team!  It is the same club as Eman.  (so yes Eman you will have the same uniform.)  She was so excited she said, "my face hurts from smiling so much!"  Then she said, "I haven't been this happy since I was 6!"  She has her All Star Tournament for her current team this weekend. Then on to joining A&E in Travel!
