One of the people I have most wanted to meet since we adopted is Debbie Googeg and her family. They adopted Wokelle and Mary. She has two other adopted children and knew exactly what I was talking about when I talked about my kids. She is someone who kept me from thinking I was crazy. She and Jerome and their six kids (the tribe as she calls them) came to DC this week to see the sights and last night we all got together. She impressed on me that even her parenting changes from day to day. She says she is "consistently inconsistent." "It's guerrilla parenting." I like it. And Guerrilla can have more than one meaning since some days I'm not feeling quite human but rather like I'm living in the wild. Great to meet you Deb and tribe. For her take on it go to her blog.

Bedtime

Abegail had a tooth pulled yesterday...so we told her to put her tooth under her pillow and the tooth fairy might come to take it and leave her some money. She was SUPER curious about the tooth fairy all day. Question after question..."Daddy, what does the tooth fairy look like? What will happen if I wake up while she's there?" Then after about the 15th question, I realized it was probably a bad idea to even mention the tooth fairy. By 8:30 last night, EVERY child was scared to go to bed because they were terrified of the tooth fairy creeping into their room while they were sleeping!! Abegail put the tooth under her pillow and then refused to sleep in her bed. She wanted to sleep on the floor...and then so did the other two. First Day of School

Today is Abegail's first day of school !!! And like our parents did for us...we made the kids pose for pictures! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a picture in focus until the bus arrived. Oh well, Annie was picking her nose anyway. Abegail got onto the bus like a real pro!! She was soooo excited! As you can see...Annie and E-Man were skeptical. Frankly, E-Man was quite concerned.

Annie makes Travel Soccer

Annie made the FPYC travel Soccer Team!  It is the same club as Eman.  (so yes Eman you will have the same uniform.)  She was so excited she said, "my face hurts from smiling so much!"  Then she said, "I haven't been this happy since I was 6!"  She has her All Star Tournament for her current team this weekend. Then on to joining A&E in Travel!
