No More Sitting on the Sidelines

Annie has had enough. She's been to more soccer practices and games in her lifetime than she'd care to remember. So she has finally decided she may as well play. I didn't think she was serious. But she kept bugging me, "make sure you sign me up for soccer after gymnastics, you need to get me a ball, I think I need those soccer shoes." So we have completed the registration and secured the necessary equipment. Abegail and E-man are thrilled. Annie is so intent on practicing and E-man is happy to pass the ball with her, so much so that we are ready for another visit from Grandpa Chuck to fix a certain window. So after the indoor season ends this month, all three will be out on the fields.

Girls on the Run
Speaking of outdoor soccer, the last two days here has felt like spring! Birds chirping, snow melting, finding lots of hats and mittens from the kids on our lawn.
Tomorrow Abegail starts a program called Girls on the Run. It is after school for 3rd through 5th graders and they start to teach them about running and work to build their self esteem. On Sunday, Abegail went out with me for a run and did great, some great one on one time for us. I don't have a picture of her running yet, so you can see her latest project from school on Rosa Parks. (Yes, there must be a picture for each story, I'm obsessed)

Bedtime

Abegail had a tooth pulled yesterday...so we told her to put her tooth under her pillow and the tooth fairy might come to take it and leave her some money. She was SUPER curious about the tooth fairy all day. Question after question..."Daddy, what does the tooth fairy look like? What will happen if I wake up while she's there?" Then after about the 15th question, I realized it was probably a bad idea to even mention the tooth fairy. By 8:30 last night, EVERY child was scared to go to bed because they were terrified of the tooth fairy creeping into their room while they were sleeping!! Abegail put the tooth under her pillow and then refused to sleep in her bed. She wanted to sleep on the floor...and then so did the other two. An hour and a half later, I walked into their room and A & E were asleep in E-Man's bed with the blanket pulled up over their heads. And Annie had sneaked away to HER bed. First Day of School

Today is Abegail's first day of school !!! And like our parents did for us...we made the kids pose for pictures! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a picture in focus until the bus arrived. Oh well, Annie was picking her nose anyway. Abegail got onto the bus like a real pro!! She was soooo excited! As you can see...Annie and E-Man were skeptical. Frankly, E-Man was quite concerned.

Annie makes Travel Soccer

Annie made the FPYC travel Soccer Team!  It is the same club as Eman.  (so yes Eman you will have the same uniform.)  She was so excited she said, "my face hurts from smiling so much!"  Then she said, "I haven't been this happy since I was 6!"  She has her All Star Tournament for her current team this weekend. Then on to joining A&E in Travel!
